Chasing My Dreams and Tea By My Side

First, I’d like to thank everyone for their patience as it as been a while since my last formal entry.  As most of my readers know I have been investing in myself over the last two years and am continuing on doing so this year. I am hoping in 2020 I will finally see clearly my path for my future in “Tea” and in the “Health and Wellness” fields.

I took an extended break from formal writing to pursue dreams of becoming a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. It was an incredibly comprehensive and rewarding year long course that finished with my graduating in July of 2018.

Shortly after gaining my Health Coaching Certification I decided to pursue my education in tea.  Tea has always been at my core.  It is fuels me everyday and I never get tried of what it offers.  Best of all I now had a direction.  “Tea and Health” just made sense for me.  As such, I enrolled with World Tea Academy to earn my Tea Specialist Certification with a specialty in “Tea and Health.”  However, additional courses will be required for my advanced certification.  Nonetheless, shortly after starting in August of 2018 I felt that fire to want to learn more.  I delved deeper and deeper into tea and knew after the intense studying that I made the right choice.  On February 5, 2019, I received notification that I successfully completed my final class.

I am still awaiting next steps on the potential ceremony for those newly certified.  However, this World Tea Expo 2019 in Las Vegas is going to be like none before.  With any luck I will be attending and receiving my certification with my fellow students.  Over the last two years there have been many sacrifices, my blog being one but with extreme sacrifice comes extreme reward.

When I was young school was a little more challenging.  My parents being first generation in the United States and my being the eldest,  they were unaware of the school system and curriculum format, I had to learn everything on my own.  Though I successfully completed school it wasn’t without great difficulty.  However, in the end I was happy it was over.  The passion for school and education just wasn’t there.  Now I feel like I am experiencing a rebirth of excitement in learning.

I am yet again continuing my education and starting a comprehensive nine month “Gut Health” course through my alma mater, Integrative Nutrition starting on February 11, 2019.

I am dangerously close to being 42 years of age and I am here to tell you it is never too late to fight for your dreams.  The only thing stopping you is… YOU!

UPDATE: It was confirmed on February 6th, 2019 that I will be receiving my official certificate in one week.  I will also be invited to the graduation ceremony in Las Vegas during World Tea Expo in June of 2019.
